    Abstract:

During the “Eleventh Five-Year Plan” period, 100 important sites were added to the “Great Site” protection list. This paper discusses the specific need to digitally conserve information about these important sites. The sites are classified into several categories, and each site is coded according to its geographical information. A standard is established for encoding geographical information about these important sites in order to construct a database to aid in monitoring them during their conservation.
