    Abstract:

    The LadderShaped LacquerBox with Silver Artwork,unearthed from the royal cemetery of Bohai Country in ancient tomb groups of Longtou Hill in Jilin Province,is one of the treasures perfect demenstratioh craffwork of Tang Dynasty.This lacquer box has been distorted by extrusion before it was unearthed.Both its paint film and wooden body are damaged,and its metal components and silver artwork are rotted seriousty.After the dehydration protection and restoration,its original appearance has been renewed.This paper introduces the basic technical routine and the essential method of slow dehydration and reshaping protection for the deformed lacquer components,as well as the repair and restoration of the rotten part of the wooden body.
